A good winter gave us good green grass for the springtime.

Where the Green Grass Grows
I'm gonna live where the green grass grows
Watchin' my corn pop up in rows
Every night be tucked in close to you
Raise our kids where the good Lord's best
Point our rocking chairs towards the west
Plant our dreams where the peaceful river flows
Where the green grass grows

Spring brings out the snakes.
Here we have a photo of a King Snake we found wandering around.
We released him of course after taking some photos
and admiring this beauty.
This shot shows him hanging around the
bust of Cleopatra we have on the front porch.

Another photo of this guy showing the beauty of the color and the scales
This photo shows the odd way the bands meet on the belly.
It's so cool to be able to see the beauty of nature close up.
OK, here is a photo that was a hard decision to add to the site. This is because it is
hard to see the snake.
When we released it back into the garden I took a few shots of the cats looking at it
(they are cautious with snakes).
But then I realized that this photo shows the way the pattern of the snake provides
concealment when under the dappled shade of trees.
Can you easily find the snake in this photo?
