This mural is of the floral flag planted in 1942 by Bodgers Seeds Company. It is a patriotic salute to World War II troops. The mural was done in one day by 13 professional artists during the "Mural in a day" project.

This giant work salutes and pays tribute to all of the men and women who served, fought and died in the 15 wars and conflicts of the twentieth century. It is estimated that 293,131 men and women were killed, and another 1,300,000 were wounded.

Artists: Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) inmates
The inmates at the local prison painted this mural, and gave it to the City of Lompoc.
