Certified Organic By CCOF

This year
we are offering many of our bulk shipments in a double-boxed package similar to that
shown.
We want the cactus leaves to get to our customers in good condition,
one of the best ways to do that is to package them inside separate boxes packed into a
larger box.
This spring we are packing the leaves into two 15 by 15 by 5 inch boxes, that will be
packed into a 16" cube box.
The top space of apx 5 inches will be filled in with cactus leaves until the total weight
comes to 47 pounds.
These are sold as forty pound lots of cactus.
We also charge five dollars for the boxing charge.
Shipping will be computed to your location in the USA from our location in Nipomo
California.
We are shipping these
boxes with Fed Ex Ground...
Right now the plants are in between
'flushes' of growth...
So until August
we'll not have any Grade C in bulk

Special... Grade D edible
cactus
Grade D cactus is not picked for looks.... while it is still edible and can still be
cleaned and cooked... it is not usually going to be tender enough to eat raw.
It is usually a bit older and more mature... it generally has a higher fiber content....
and a tougher skin. This cactus definately needs to be cooked.
Many people use this cactus mainly for animal food. It is
perfect for tortoises and iguanas. The lower price makes it more attractive as a
feed option. And
the older tougher leaves store better also.

Grade D cactus is the leaves that have
holes from flying debris from our windstorms... they will be the ones grown up
against another leaf such that they curl and bend and are difficult for a chef
to prepare.... In other words... they are still good for eating, but not for the
chefs and foodies we like to sell to. This is deeply discounted cactus
leaves.
Also, we don't pack these in many boxes inside the one big box... these ones are all tossed into the
box and shipped right off. They are tougher leaves and more able to withstand
the shipping process. They are deeply discounted in price and less packaging
reduces the entire cost.
We're selling these in a 15" cubed box at 30
lbs...
and in a 16" box as 40 lbs
