As the summer season proceeds, we are able to offer larger and larger lot sizes
for those who need a quantity of cactus.
We have two basic box types for our larger lots of cactus...
one is just a single box that is extra thick and sturdy to withstand shipping.
The other type is using several smaller boxes inside of the larger box,
this helps to protect the cactus leaves.
To cover the cost of the large and heavy boxes we use,
we add a five dollar handling charge to our large lot sizes.

For people who need serious cactus quantity,
and want to get a good deal....
We recommend our fifty pound Grade C box.
Right now the Grade C is of exceptional quality....
You will get some that are bent, nicked,
or have a hole from a flying stone from a windstorm
those can go into your salsa.... you will also get a lot of leaves
that will work just fine for your salad or burrito.
Since this is sent the cheapest way, by UPS Ground.. and will be in just a single box...
even though a thick one and 16 by 16 by 16 inches,
you must expect a bit of damage from the shipping process....
The damaged ones should be used quickly....
We stack these leaves pretty deep and heavy in this one box....
if you really must have a higher proportion of leaves that will still look nice,
I recommend you get the double-boxed Grade B or C leaves
that are at the section below this one
and are boxed in multiple boxes to reduce shipping damage

This is a representative box we picked recently.
Some of the leaves have some damage.... but overall the quality is very good at this time.
The reason for this temporary low price is that the plants put out flushes of growth on
occasion.
The first flush of the season is starting to come into maturity now.
It is at this time that the plants put out the highest value in leaves...
they are large, easy to clean, and very economical in terms of cleaning to food value....
the larger leaves are easier to handle and clean.
They are thicker and meatier with more fiber....
you really know you're eating some 'real food' when you eat these leaves.
These larger, harder and thicker, tougher leaves travel better also
but still... when you pile many pound of cactus high in a box and ship it around the
country,
some damage must be expected. Use damaged leaves quickly

This is a fifteen inch box, with four boxes fit snugly inside to protect your cactus
leaves
These are prime leaves, Grade B, so it is worth protecting them for the journey
These are the leaves and lot size you'd want if you are a restaurant or health food store.
It is a good mix of economy and good material

This allows us to ship bulk lots,
without the cactus leaves on the bottom getting crushed by the accumulated leaves
