A roadside memorial to a highway death on Lompoc's Harris Grade, the pass through the hills to get to the Santa Maria Valley from the Lompoc Valley.
Every death is tragic, but ones who are cut down before expected, seems even worse.

This was such a spectacular sunset. And it happened to happen on the evening of the shortest day of the year.
Now day by day the light will become stronger, and help us get our plants growing again as winter slowly passes
and the warm spring comes that gives the California coast life.
