Rivenrocks Calif. 'Sudden Oak Death' inspection and clearance form.
A new law has come into being making sure that California Nurseries are inspected to ensure they do not spread the disease called 'Sudden Oak Death (SOD)'. This disease causes death of oak trees and is slowly
spreading from Northern California. We sell none of the host plants so just a quick inspection to make sure none of our native oaks
on the property are infected is enough to satisfy the requirements. Sudden Oak Death is a dread disease that causes the (apparently sudden) death of Oak trees. This is a disease that we don't want spreading throughout the country. So we ask that all people take care while in infested country, don't move oak wood or other possibly infected material into another area.
